Living in Sydney’s burbs during lockdown meant that the ocean was off-limits for me, a lemon DIFFICULT situation. Growing up, I’d always loved visual arts and drew quirky characters and friends on their birthdays. In an attempt to bring the ocean home during lockdown; I drew a scene of Avalon for my room. I finished the illustration and my family suggested I made prints of the work to sell. They usually give decent advice so I printed my first run of prints and Coastlines By Tasha (business name credit to Dad) was born in August 2020.
Today, my illustration is still the foundation of my business with the welcome additions of graphic design, curation, artistic direction, photography, dinner party hosting and beading (FUN!). In short, Coastlines is a love letter to the beautiful people, places and things that have my heart.
